About the Marshfield Community Rib Cook-Off

The MCRCO concept originated during a North Community Church mission trip in May 2009 in Biloxi, Mississippi that included a visit to the iconic BBQ joint “The Shed” inspiring event founders to turn their passion for BBQ into a Marshfield community amateur competition.

The 29th Annual Run to the Rock 5K, 10K and 1/2 Marathon supports The Boys & Girls Club of America and will be providing funds from the race to our local chapters located in Marshfield and Plymouth.  Funds from the event will help with financial support for some of the programs offered by our local Boys & Girls Clubs that help keep our youth engaged in healthy activities and build positive lifestyles.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Club is:  To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
